My dog consumed chicken blood/liquids, what is the best course of action?
My dog got a hold of the liquid absorbing pads used in the bottom of raw chicken packets. Will she catch salmonellosis 100% or is it just a chance? What is the best course of action for me to take? Should I wait for symptoms and then take her to a vet?
Salmonellosis question?
What system does the Salmonella bacteria attack?? Please support with link or source. Thank you.
Does this sound like Salmonellosis?
Around six days ago, I started to come down with a fever of 99.5.
The next day, it elevated to100.4.
Then 101.3 then finally, 102.9. It went down to 99.3 after that. Then to 98.6, and it’s been down since.
Two days ago, I started to get a pain in my legs. It was just a slight strain in my calves. NOT THE PATELLA.
But as of yesterday, I can barely walk. It feels as though the muscles are completely twisted up and I can’t take a step without screaming.
Several hours ago, I threw up. It was just chyme, but it was dark greenish-yellow.
My friend said it could be Salmonellosis.(The disease caused by Salmonella.)
Is it?
I also have what appears to be chronic bronchitis going on.
My dad wanted to take me to Urgent Care after I threw up.
Should I have done?
What more can I do to let maintenance engineers know that there IS a company specializing in BIRD CONTROL?
Don’t they know? . . . Birds are the cause of many diseases of humans and domestic animals. Birds and especially pigeons can carry lice, ticks, and can cause Histoplasmosis, Orinthosis, Cryptococcosis, and Salmonellosis. They cause property damage. Their feces and nesting material deface and deteriorate surfaces of buildings. Droppings contain acidic secretions and will gradually corrode metal surfaces such as Signage, A/C units, etc.
Liability Risks:
Slip and fall accidents from wet bird droppings, Automobile damage. Health claims from employees. AND on every building where birds are roosting and nesting you will find Dead birds, attracting a variety of parasites and insects. Sick and dying birds Accumulating and evaporating feces, eggs and a host of insects.
I can’t tell you how many times I hear “I didn’t even know there was an industry for that” WELL…There is. There’s a company that will not only clean and disinfect the area but PERMANATELY keep them AWAY!
