the mental doctor and counseling every week he did some tutoring but not enough now the cps took me to court and i have a neglect charge going to court next week am worried to what’s going to happen i try so hard but it wasn’t good enough am very worried

I’ve been diagnosed with dysthymia and generalized anxiety disorder for nearly a year now.?
Recently I’ve been taking 25mg of Paxil CR/day after upgrading from 100mg Zoloft. The other day my psychologist told me she was going to speak with my psychiatrist about adding a medication to go along with the Paxil CR because of my increased anger/anxiety levels associated with being a recovering alcoholic. I’m sure they won’t prescribe me with a benzodiazepine because of the way it works similarly to alcohol on the brain and because benzo’s can be addictive. I’m curious as to what they might put me on with the Paxil CR, anyone got any ideas?

Clinical depression… dysthymia… bi-polar. ect?
I know clinical depression is more serious, but lasts shorter, while Dysthymic disorder [or dysthymia] is chronic and less severe. But, is there another difference in between them? Like, what types of things would cause dysthymia and clinical depression? Is it a chemical imbalance or something like that? Or does it just develop? I just want to understand what I have to deal with better. =/

Can teenagers get dysthymia?
If so, is the diagnostic criteria the same as that of an adult? What is the prognosis and typical course of treatment? Is St. John’s wort safer for teenagers than anti-depressants?
